This residential roofing project involved a complete shingle roof replacement, beginning with the removal of the existing roofing materials to expose and inspect the underlying roof deck. During the tear-off, several sections of deteriorated and rotted wood were discovered. These damaged boards were carefully removed and replaced to restore the strength of the roof structure and create a solid foundation for the new roofing system.
Once the deck repairs were completed, new roofing underlayment was installed across the roof to provide an additional layer of protection against moisture. New asphalt shingles were then installed with close attention to proper alignment, sealing, and overall workmanship. The existing ventilation system was also addressed, with roof vents properly installed and integrated into the new shingles to support consistent airflow through the attic.
Throughout the installation, progress photos documented the condition of the roof deck, the areas that required wood replacement, and each stage of the roofing process. The project was finished with detailed cleanup around the work area, leaving the homeowner with a clean, professionally installed shingle roof designed for reliable long-term protection.
